Shopping date for The Voice

Singer Russell “The Voice” Watson wowed shoppers with a special performance to mark the launch of his new album at the Trafford Centre yesterday.

The opera star from Salford performed two songs from his fourth album, Amore Musica, to cheers from the hundreds of fans who packed into The Orient.

He followed the title track of the new CD, called Amore e Musica, with You Raise Me Up, before mixing with fans at an album-signing session at the HMV music store.

Former factory worker Watson has established himself as one of opera’s leading singers in recent years and has sold millions of albums around the world.
