He was superb and was definitely on top form; his voice was spinning and his rendition of The Music of the Night was the best I've heard. He should be starring in Phantom. There was lots of interaction with the audience. Russell is great when he sings and when he speaks to the audience. He has a warmth which is truly captivating. Everyone had a smile on their face that night. Thanks for a fantastic night and for your autograph (he even took time to do that on his way from Symphony Hall). I wish you all the very best with your health and your career. Can I sing with you if you come to Birmingham again please? Wouldn't mind hitting those high notes in Nessun Dorma! He was entracned and said it was the best night of his lifle. In the row in front of us, conicidentally, was a more severe autistic boy - who rocked and stared inot tspace until Russell started - and then he to sat still and listened - whilst his mother watched him and smiled..
