Teenage singing sensation Lewis Laking enjoyed his televised duet with internationally-acclaimed tenor Russell Watson.
On Saturday night the pair performed You Raise Me Up on the BBC talent show Tonight’s The Night.
Hartlepool teenager Lewis was joined by 100 family members and close friends at Hartlepool Golf Club, at Hart Warren, to watch the performance, which was recorded a few weeks ago.
The 17-year-old said: “The reception I got blew me away. Every time my name was mentioned people were clapping and cheering and they gave me a standing ovation once the performance had finished.
“It was surreal seeing myself on the television, it is something that I’d never expected to happen.
“You could see how nervous I was but I was pleased with the vocals and Russell gave me a lot of support and confidence”
