Russell not racing in Great Manchester Run

Its almost time again for the Bupa Great Manchester Run, but with the race just a few days away on the 16th May disaster has befallen one of  the celebrity participants.

Phil Taylor, director of the Kirsty Club today announced ”Russell Watson was continuing with his preparations for the Great Manchester Run yesterday, but whilst training he pulled his hamstring and has had to use ice packs. Unfortunately he will be unable to take part now and is very upset, as he was really looking forward to being part of the fantastic atmosphere in Manchester. ”

With one celebrity down the charity still needs all the support and encouragement you can provide on the day. The Kirsty Club is currently raising funds to extend Francis House Children’s Hospice.

So even if you aren’t pulling on your running shoes and taking part you can still sponsor a runner or turn up on the day to show your support and cheer on Phil Taylor and celebrities Samia Smith and Richard Fleeshman, all of course with Kirsty leading the way!
