I saw this concert on TV while in the hospital on July 4th! A marvellous performance that lifted my spirits. First time I have seen Russell live on TV – very proud to be an ex-Brit living in Canada. Well done Russell!

wow a fab article on a true British Hero !Russell is a fab singer as well as having the heart of a Lion !my sister got diagnosed with brain tumors 3 years ago,she had 2 tumors operated on at Salford Royal (a wonderful Hospital-with amazing practices and people).we have been to Christies on many visits which also provides wonderful care !My sister has been diagnosed with a further 2 tumors of which can not been operated on ,however her idol (Russell)has kept her hopes alive !with Russel being so brave and courageous!just wondering if their could be any contact to keep my sisters hopes alive !!warmest regards John x.

Have just purchased the “Anthem” CD & it is great. Just one small complaint. Track 14 (God Save The Queen” does not play. I have tried it on two other CD players but no joy. I tried to get it exchanged but the store had sold all their copies. Is this a fault on the CD ?
Keep up the good work. Have loved your work right from the beginning when I was still in South Africa but now a resident of the UK

Brilliant new CD Russell. I attended Speke Hall concert last night you were fantastic as usual, however I was very disappointed that you didn’t sing any operatic arias, that is one thing that you excel at and gives the full beauty to your tremendous voice. Please include them in all your concerts. I was also disappointed that there were no encores! you always do them why not last night? I fought my way to the barriers at the front as I had bought a bottle of Champagne with me from home to give yoy as a gift, for just being a lovely ‘Russell’ and was going to get it passed over to you when you returned for your great and extra applause but you didn’t come, it left me very sad. Finally the organisers of the event want putting down a big well an burying as they did an appauling job all they get is 10 out of 10 for organised chaos! The seating was rubbish and the whole field a mess. Don’t associate your name with the likes of the again Russell they do your reputation no good you are so very very much better than what they did. Hope to see you at a proper concert later in the year – do another cruise, now that was unbelievable Magic. Take cae of youself, your lovely lady Louise and yoiur two beautiful girls.
